The Boulder Neighborhood Series is my first ever photography project, and also my favorite. In the fall of 2023, I spent several months taking photographs in neighborhoods around the city of Boulder, during various times of day. The order of the photos showcases the passing of time, from bright mornings to cold winter nights. I took all these pictures alone, and no people are in the photos. I found peace exploring Boulder by myself and learning how to use my camera. I’ve come to appreciate that there is strength in being able to enjoy your own company, and these pictures always serve as a reminder of that to me.
