Boulder Neighborhood Series
The Boulder Neighborhood Series is a photo series I created in the fall of 2023. This video version includes an audio track and sound effects, immersing viewers in the space. There is a sensation of action, despite the fact that static images are on display.
Essay Video Project
The Essay video project was created in collaboration with Kyle Saunders for our Creative Media Making class in late 2023. The instructions for the project were to create a self expression film without a voiceover. We found that it was enjoyable to find existential questions online, and match them with corresponding footage. The vast majority of footage was shot by Kyle, while I was largely in charge of editing.
Denver International Airport - Observational Cinema
“Observational Cinema” is the phrase I use to describe this short film: a work in which the videographer moves the camera around events, and does not interact with the subject. This is the idea that inspired me to create this short film on the Denver International Airport. Airports are a space in which people from all walks of life come into contact with those they may never have otherwise interacted with. In spite of these differences, passengers are all united under one goal: to get to their destination.
